An andriod APK on firetv or firestick not downloaded from the google play store is in effect a private channel similar to a private roku channel except the Andriod App APK is not limited only to one device such as a private roku channel which is limited and can only be displayed on a roku device.
To install an Andriod APK on a Firestick or Firetv do the following.
Install the Downloader App First.
1. From the home screen of your device, hover over the Find option.
2. Click Search.
3. Search for and select Downloader.
4. Choose the Downloader app.
5. Click Download.
6. Wait for the app to install.
7. Once the app finishes installing click Open.
8. Return to the home screen and open Settings.
9. Click My Fire TV.
10. Choose Developer options.
11. Click Install unknown apps.
12. Find the Downloader app and click it.
13. This
will turn Unknown Sources to On for the Downloader app. This will enable
side-loading on your device.
Side-loading is just another name for installing a private channel, APK,
not in the google play store.
14. Click on Download Icon in your Apps & Channels
15. Type in the url of the apk you want to install.
In the picture below I have typed in the link to my maga radio Andriod APK as an example.
All the Andriod Apps, APK's, on stream zones are safe to download.
I have installed The Maga Radio andriod app on a 4k firestick and tested it.
It currently displays a webplayer that will play word radio live broadcasts 24/7.
I will update this app from time to time and add some more content as needed.
Maga Radio is a FREE Andriod App.
It is much better than a private roku channel.
There is NO way to display websites on a private roku channel.
Upgrading to a firetv or a firestick is like going from a 1950's tv to 4K tv.
